You can be in the audience of this spectacular final event on Friday, May 1, 2026, 7:30pm when we celebrate Victor Herbert Renaissance Project LIVE! with one last concert featuring the amazing Victor Herbert. VHRP LIVE! will present a one of a kind concert of Herbert’s orchestral compositions written between 1884 and 1924. The last time such a concert was produced in New York City was in 1933 when Harold Sanford (Herbert's Concert Master) and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra appeared in Madison Square Garden to a sold out audience. The May 1, 2026, 7:30pm concert will feature the 47 piece union freelance New Victor Herbert Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Steven Byess, an acclaimed Herbert conductor. The program will showcase works written for the Pittsburgh Symphony and the Victor Herbert Orchestra. Thrill to Royal Sec (1884), American Fantasia, Irish Rhapsody, the Columbus Suite, Auditorium Festival March and Suite of Serenades (1924) which preceded the debut of Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue on February 12, 1924.
